The story behind Done Different

Done Different isn’t just a brand. It’s my story.

I grew up in a family where love was loud, laughter was constant, and community was everything. My mom had a gift, she could spend hours in the homes of family and friends, organizing, decorating, and teaching others how to make their spaces feel alive while staying true to themselves. Those moments showed me that home isn’t just walls and furniture … it’s energy, memory, and connection.

That spark never left me. And guided by strong faith, I carried it with me into every stage of life. It led me to study psychology at Montclair State University and to spend more than 15 years in Human Resources, helping people grow, thrive, and create environments where they can be their best.

Looking back, it all makes sense. Done Different is the alignment of my passion and my purpose — blending what I learned from my mother, my education and career, my faith, and my life as a working mom and wife to my dear husband, Rudy.

Life has taught me that balance, love, and intention matter most. A health scare in my family reminded me how fragile life is — but also how beautiful it becomes when you choose to live with purpose.

That’s why Done Different exists. To honor stories. To trust energy. To create spaces and lives that feel like home — bold, unfiltered, and filled with meaning.
